A Little About Quercy Construction
Having worked in the building trade all my adult life, we decided to up sticks and make a permanent move to France. We now live in the beautiful department of the Lot close to both the river Lot and the Célé valley and my business here is thriving. With over 36 years of building experience, the last 12 here in France, we are able to offer multiple services including renovation and repair work. We have done 3 complete home renovations on our own properties and know the pains and pitfalls very well indeed! Aside from any language difficulties, there are also the local building regulations to adhere to.
We can cater to most of your needs from window/velux fitting to a complete renovation and would be delighted to offer you a free quote with a fast, efficient service. We cover regions 46,24,19 and 12, but would consider elsewhere depending on the job. General services offered include roofing, masonry, carpentry, staircases, fitting windows and doors, dry lining and insulation, kitchen and bathroom fitting. As building company in the Lot, we can help you negotiate your way through the necessary red tape, making applications to your Mairie etc.
Here in the Lot we have a very mixed clientele. We cater to English, French and any other nationality. Some of our clients are permanent residents in the Lot and some are holiday home owners. We cover all aspects of roofing work, whether it be a complete new roof or a repair job or even just the guttering. We can supply and fit both Velux and Dormer windows. We can provide double-glazing and exterior doors in wood, aluminium and PVC, both standard and made to measure. As all owners of old houses here in the Lot will know, good insulation is a must, and we cover this as well. Other external works also include re-pointing and terracing.
Inside we can provide parquet flooring, studwork, dry-lining. Once you have the basics covered you may need new staircases, bathrooms and a kitchen – we can help with these too.
We are also able to effect complete renovations on older properties.
